Anyone seen this?
Willem Defoe looks double-hard with a shaven head, hey?
I quite enjoyed the movie, but was never quite sure where it was going, and the ending was a bit of an anti-climax. I might have to see it again before I really decide.
Certainly worth a view, but doesn't really measure up to all of the great prison movies of years gone by.

It's an ok movie. It's adapted from Edward Bunker's book of the same name, written whilst in San Quentin.
The book is much much better as you get an insider's view of exactly what it's like to be in San Quentin, you can almost smell the place.
Well worth checking out the book, as is "No Beast So Fiece" and "Little Boy Blue" (I think that's the name), by Bunker as well.
Trivia note:
Bunker played Mr Blue in Reservoir Dogs.
