For all video media, I use Windows Media Player (9 I think), and all video files are assigned to that player. The only problem is, to play quicktime files you have to use the quicktime player, but when I do, although the video is fine, the sound is botched. It is echoey, as though the sound is being played twice, about half a second out of phase. This makes it impossible to hear properly, and I just have to switch the sound off as it's damn well annoying.
Any ideas why this is? I've tried reinstalling it, and as I say, I only use it for the quicktime files, all other video media is assigned to WMP.
Thanks for any help.

I've been through all the settings, there's nothing there that could possibly be causing this. My sound card is a pretty gash one, and I've never tinkered with any such effects. Besides, if echo is on, it should affect all applications, not just QT, surely?
