-email chooses when it wants to work
-email takes about 1 minute to load (if lucky)
-email doesn't pick up attachments from others
-there helpline takes half an hour to get though then they tell you to ring another number!
-ntl's correct connect keeps telling me to check my internet explorer evrey week.
does anybody else have problems like this??
i would change to freeola if it wasn't for the 1 year contract.

I don't rate NTL. I don't use their email, but I have spent far too much of my life on hold to them (although last time I rang they picked up pretty much straight away). Also I connect through a transparent proxy server, which destroys the latency of my http connections.
Phone service is fine, had a few minor issues with the TV which they've always sorted out promptly, and in two-and-a-half years my broadband has been unusable just twice, for a few hours each time.
I do occasionally have problems connecting to their mail servers, but this only usually lasts a few minutes. As I mostly use the mail servers with my domains, though, I don't have that much mail coming in through NTL - but it is always collected at the same time as my other accounts.
In terms of Customer Service, the longest I've ever been on the phone waiting to get through is 40 minutes, but usually it's between 5 and 10.
Internet is fine, never had the queue at all to talk to them and I got my modem replaced within 2 days when it broke
Good stuff where I am.
(one of the men who came around to connect my internet said he couldn't do it because the conservotary wasn't stable, ive stood on it loads of times all he wanted to do was lean against it)
i also had problems using my email programs - first i was on OE5, this was terrible and took ages for the security settings to authorise me on the pop3 server. i then upgraded to OE6, which was better. eventually i got fed up and bought office, so i use outlook now, and i have no problems with it at all.
as for the help lines - call on a saturday, they redirect you from a cost line to a free one, if they aren't too busy.
except there price
NTL is i bit annoying but nobody else offer the 150k serviec as far as i am aware so thats why i have NTL.
my mate said he had problems with xbox live with "no connetion please check jack in port" type things but after a 20min call he sorted it.
