I'm going to be buying a USB 2.0 PCI card for my machine soon - probably this one:

I'll also be getting one of these...

...which - I assume - will connect to the internal port on the PCI card.

My question is - is there such a thing as an 'internal' USB cable? I presume I'll need either a USB A to USB A cable, or USB A to USB B cable (won't know which until the thing arrives), but surely a standard USB cable will be too long for the inside of a PC case?

Of course I can loop it and tie it off, but it just seems like it would be... well... overkill. Do the make shorter cables for internal use?

That could be a bit of a problem then, if the hub comes with motherboard-type connectors, as the PCI card has a USB type A connector for the internal port.

Methinks I might mail Trust and find out.

Thanks for the info.

The Trust hub should come with internal cables - these are nothing like USB leads, they have individual pin connectors which you have to connect (similar to wiring your case to the motherboard). It should tell you in the USB cards manual what each pin does, and each pin connector from the Trust hub should be labelled. So you can work it out that way.
