Evony: Age I - I’m hooked!
Here’s a strategic game for all kind of players. If you’re an experienced player, you can end up being a high ranked officer, who leads up to 100 other players in your very own alliance. Practice your skills as a merchant, a diplomat, a leading officer or a warrior.
It’ll be up to you to decide whether your alliance is friendly, neutral of hostile against the other alliances. Choose members wisely and you will be able to build a strong alliance, and take control in the vast lands of Evony.
But, before you get that far, you start out with one small town, having to build everything up from scratch. It may sound like a lot of work and boring, but you quickly find yourself planning your next step, building up your army, plundering other cities and joining an alliance or maybe starting one up yourself. In the beginning you are given a 7 day period in which no other players can attack you, so you can build up your defences and join an alliance for protection.
Chatting online while you play gives you the opportunity to ask fellow alliance members for advise, protection or just friendly conversation – and of course a joke or two.
I’ve been playing this game online for a little over a month now, and I’m hooked. I’m an experienced player, but never played an online game like this before.
The game is played in real time. So it may take a while to build up buildings or your army. But that leaves you with time to live your life away from the screen.
Every once in a while the game developers throw in a little surprise. Just the other day, they sent all players 100 cents (in game coins). Just my luck! I was being attacked by another Lord, and couldn’t stop him. I bought an advanced city teleporter, and teleported to an area where I’m surrounded by alliance members, and no enemies, for now. Let’s hope he doesn’t follow me here ;) If he does, he’ll have to deal not only with me, but all 70 of us.
I’m rebuilding my army right now, and I will get my revenge soon.
