I currently have freeserve broadband with a speed touch alcatel usb modem. If i were to get freeola broadband could i use this instead of buying one off freeola for £100+ and just pay the £60 activation fee.

If i could do this how long would the activation take?

Hi there - I moved from Freeserve broadband to Zazizam.com broadband - and only had to pay a £30+vat migration fee. To transfer my connection from Freeserve to Zazizam.com (reason why I moved was because Freeserve was much more expensive by £8 a month!). All I needed was my CBUK number from Freeserve (which I needed before moving) - then I rang up the number they emailed me inorder to request the full transfer. They then moved my connection over for me - getting in contact with the suppliers and so forth! And best of all, I am not tied to a contract!

No, just order the disconnection with your current provider and ask them to make sure that they release your connection properly so that other providers can accept an order from you.

Then, place your order with us and we'll give you an activation date a couple/three days after placing the order.

On that date, at some stage during the day, your new connection will be live!

Regards,
Danny

So will anyone come to my house or will it just be a case of waiting for it to start working?

Whether or not you order equipment from us has no bearing on the activation time - this is all due to BT Wholesale who almost all ADSL providers use.

Danny

This doesn't apply to you but if your modem is branded by your supplier (eg. BT Openworld) it'll only work with that provider.

Yes, any ADSL modem will work with any ADSL connection.
