Hello..

Is there any program which allows you to capture videoclips from a DVD without having to have a video capture card?

This is probably illegal but it's for personal use! :p

Thankyou. :)

Fair use is what makes MP3 legal to use. Ripping a CD to MP3 allows you to listen to it on your computer and on a portable MP3 player. These are fair thing to do with media you have bought a copyright licence for - like when buying a CD.

Fair use is also what makes copy protection on CDs illegal - but it's never been challanged in court.

Fair use is basically anything that doesn't infringe on the copyright of the owner. Remember - it's not the copying that infringes copyright, it's what you do with the copies that matters :-)

http://google.com/search?q=dvd+decrypter will extract chapters and DeCSS them.

Use http://google.com/search?q=VirtualDubMod to extract relevant sections.

It will also encode them if you wish.
