"Legal Fileshare Thingy?"

I stumbled across this seemingly legitimate fileshare programme which isn't policed by online Kazaa reps, or flooded with illegal content.

Doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary except a large sticker saying 100% legal. You don't have to pay to join or anything.

Then again, it could be like iMesh where you can freely download the stuff by up-and-coming bands, but stuff by recognised artists is also on there but downloading that is illegal.

Have a look, what do you make of it?

I'll wait until I get my router when I have internet on my computer and not the family one. I've been using iMesh which I think is better than K-Lite as its download speeds are faster generally.

I'll get K lite though, so I'll drop you a line when I get back online on my pc.

Heh, no they don't. As far as I can tell one of the guys who helped to make it and who owned the domain name decided to pull a fast one and try charge for it.

I have the setup file for a version of it, 2.89 Mb. If you want I can email you it.

I tried removing it from Morpheus but it wouldn't work thereafter.

Kazaa Lite is the best one to use.

Well iMesh has GAIN spyware and adware, but that is easily removed. I only use it a bit for checking out trailers (as apple.com/trailers never seems to work for me!) and the occasional new band. Usually I tend to buy music or borrow my friends mp3 players and upload their stuff.

It was a few months ago. Except it is so riddled with spyware that I would rather buy everything legally at overinflated prices.

Is morpheus still about?

Well Kazaa and Morpheus are legal. But that is the programs themselves, not the trading on copyrighted work on them.

I don't care if it is legal or not.
