CRT is the display type for your monitor, it has nothing to do with the compatibility of the VGA box. What you do is plug the VGA cable into the back of the box, then the composite cables from your PS2 to the box.

The review makes little sense (the SR one) because it says it might not work with some TFT monitors, but on the description it says it won't work with anything...
Which kind of suggests the SR person reviewing it never used it...which is reassuring. Not.
