Bruce Willis brings a powerful presence to the edge-of-your-seat film. Haley Joel Osment also gives an extraordinary performance as a disturbed young boy. We can all see why he was nominated for an oscar!
The Plot.
In the beginning of the film you see Dr Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis) and his wife getting cozy in the living room, celebrating Dr Malcolms work performance. They decide to take things upstairs (like ya do)! When they got there, they were shocked to see a man (only in his underwear) in the on-suite bathroom. He seems confused and seems to know Malcolm. He was an ex patient who couldn't be treated. He shoots Malcolm in the chest and then commits suicide.
The next thing you see is him sitting on a bench outside Cole Sears (Haley Joel Osment) house. Cole is a new patient and seems very distant from things since his Dad left. Dr Crowe tries to talk to him but he cant figure out whats wrong. He is an eight year old boy who is scared and confused about something.
Dr Crowe finally comes to the decision that Cole has a similar condition to his ex patient who shot himself. He couldnt treat him then but this time he seeks to redeem himself by doing everything he can.
As he gets to know Cole, mysterios things happen and marks keep appearing on Coles body. At a party that Cole went to, he got locked in a cupboard by a being unknown and was knocked unconscience and taken to hospital. The thing was, there was no lock on the door and Cole was the only one in it. How could it happen?
At the hospital, Cole comes out with his biggest, most terrifying secret. He has a sixth sense and it is utterly unforgettable. He sees dead people. They come to him.
There is a very weird twist in the end of the film but I wont give it away. This is truely an unforgettable film.
Thanks, Kelle.

My point is (and you'd know this if you read my post properly) that if you don't know that there is a twist in a film it stands an infinitely better chance of coming as a surprise when it occurs.

Why not? You've already told people everything else that happens in the film. Just by saying there is a twist at the end spoils a film to some extent because when people watch it they spend half the time trying to work out what that twist is. In the case of The Sixth Sense, knowing there is a twist is enought to work out what it is before it comes around.
