The 64 controller is evidence of right handed favoritism as the main buttons are on the right side of it. Now I know that Left handers say that they have no problem with the controllers but are they enjoying the same gaming experience as the right handed people. A new problem now arises with the use of 2 analogue sticks as one is on the right side and one is on the left so gamers might be moving characters with their weaker hand.
Of course there is a solution, Developers could make games use both analogue sticks or if they already do then there could be an option to switch which one did what.
Left handed people deserve to have the same experiences as the right handed people. So maybe it is about time people like Sony and Nintendo should take these people into account when producing controllers. Should they make Left handed controllers?
But then they need to release two sets of consoles one with Left handed controllers and one with right. So is there another way?
What do you think?

But hey, I still nearly always beat the opposition when it comes to who won most coins in mini-games, so I don't suffer that badly!
Ha. We Have this 'Suuper Pad 64 Plus' in our house and unlike most other Nintendo 64 controllers, official or not, it has two sticks, well, one big bulgy one and another smaller one. And because it isn't exactly the ideal pad to play multi-player Goldeneye with we used to say it was left-handed, but it doesn't stop there...my younger brother...being 10 has not officially entered the world we call gaming and always wants to play with me and my elder brother...Oh we let him...on one condition....remember the black pad I mentioned about 90 words back...he uses that....of course it doesn't say on the pad that it is 'left-handed' cause it isn't! But we say that so he'll use the pad!!!
The moral of this story is: Don't get stuck with a dodgy pad, pawn it off to your younger brethren and have a blast!
...TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!!!
Game
You don't want a crap pad ds
You seem to be going on a bit about controllers recently Dringo, life that boring eh? :-)
I think that it doesnt matter to me what handed the controller is, if i can still use it i dont care. I dont think it detracts anything from my gaming pleasure if i have to use a right handed controller. Ive been playing games since the days of the SNES, i've grown up with it, its not really an issue.
(But that doesn't prove anything. Anybody can beat you easily.)

Another analogy, if we do accept that controllers aren't ambidexterous, is the knife and fork.
MOST, but not all, left handers (moi included), use a knife and fork right-handed because that was the way we were brought up, it was table etiquette, so we stuck with it and got used to it and so now it's second nature. You could say the same with a controller, except for the fact that you do have a point that with the analogue sticks we do have the 'strong' hand issue, but the control is so gentle in most cases that I wouldn't have thought this was a factor.
So for controllers, I don't think they need special design for south paws.
Left handers are highly intelligent.
