Leitmotif ain't come yet (for Blank) but this did.

Seems to be again exactly the type of music I like.

Calm and perhaps a little too haunting vocals at time, I do like a bit of vehemence in them from time to time, but the music mixes melodic walls of guitars and some good old fashioned thrasy stuff in there in places. Plus, it sounds beautiful....the way rocky guitar music can. The song I'm listening to now reminds me of a night sky.

*notices FHM*

Phooowaaaar!

There, nicely balanced out.

Ha, I really should've payed closer attention. I saw Beautiful and Excellent and thought "they could be band names" and seemed to skip over everything else. I will check this band out.

Haha.

They're sort of a more haunting version of......ummm......not sure.

They are rocky, no doubt about it, but with a very distinctive voice. Not quite as prog-sounding as Dredg, and certainly less, um, 'arty' but still innovative.

And the song names are the first bits, the second bit are my base descriptions of them. All off False Cathedrals.

Blessed By Your Own Ghost is the best one, but the others are excellent, and the rest of the album is pretty good.

First question: what type of music is Elliott? Who are they comparable to?

Secondly: Are those that you just listed album then band or band then album? For example the first one, is Beautiful the name of the album or the band?

Lipstick Stigmata - Wonderful song long build up
Speed of Film - Excellent

and perhaps Calm Americans.

I really like this band already.

Hoo, just found out Elliott are in fact spelt with 2 T's (kinda stupid I never noticed) and that they are breaking up, like now. Or have done.

Why the hell do I discover bands I like (well, these guys and the Pumpkins) for them to be dead.
