The film is a comedy about parenting. It stars Adam Sandler, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Jon Stewart and lots more funny actors. Like many of Adam Sandler films, the cast is basically the same with actors such as Rob Schneider, Josh Mostel and Peter Dante. It is directed by Denis Dugan and is written by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy.
The Plot.
Sonny Koufax (Adam Sandler) is a thirty two year old who cant face responsibility. When his girlfriend Vanessa dumps him for exactly that, he decides to prove to her that he's ready to grow up.
The day after his flat mate Kevin moves to China, an unexpected present is left at the door. Its a young boy that has been left my his mother who is dying. He comes with a note that says that she wants him to be with his father Kevin. A surprised Sonny decides to look after the young boy until Kevin gets back.
In a phone call to Kevin, Sonny tells him about Julian (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) and Kevin tells him that he hasnt got a son and it was a mistake. Sonny takes this oppurtunity to adopt Julian under his flat mates name. He thinks that this will win back Vanessa!
Sonny and Julian are getting along fine until they go and surprise Vanessa. She has a new man, an old, new man and she isnt impressed with Sonny. The thing is, he cant return the kid or he will be put into a home. Sonny keeps him.
Sonny falls in love with Julian as if it were his own son. But in a dramatic change of fortune, the social worker realises that Sonny is not who he makes out to be and takes Julian away.
There is a desperate fight to get back Julian, and Sonny will never forgive himself if he cant have him. The end is very dramatic and has to be the most touching part of the film.
I recommend this film to Adam Sandler fans and anyone who likes a comedy.
Thanks, Kelle.

Somehow I get the feeling that you're going to keep posting a review a day until you win a film and then we'll never hear from you again.
If you go to the Big Daddy DVD details, you can add your review to that section.
