Am I right in thinking that you can no longer pay for ftp access from anywhere on the standard (free) hosting? At least I cant see it anywhere in myfreeola.

All I can see is the option to upgrade to VIP. But the support sections says that VIP hosting is done on different servers. So if you upgrade does that mean the site is migrated?

No you are totally correct, VIP Hosting is not shown from the MyFreeola account for Broadband users, you can order it either from the main VIP Hosting page, or call us on 0871 210 9977.

Edit: VIP does appear for me and I have Freeola Broadband, however that is because I have a VIP account already.

In MyFreeola if I click the Web Freedom link is states:

Get Web Freedom for these websites £3.49 ex VAT.
No mention of VIP...

So hopefully you are saying existing Web Freedom customers are still charged at £3 ?!

But it looks to me as if new one's will be charged at £3.49?

Most people have migrated to VIP Hosting from Web Freedom during the time when VIP Hosting was £3 per month. If you decided to stay on Web Freedom then you can stay on it as long as you want but you do not get the benefits of VIP Hosting, Web Freedom is connectivity to a free hosting account, VIP Hosting is completely different on different servers with different options available.

Ah, so its still there, I just cant see it. And the cost these days? I think it used to be £3 per month with it billed quarterly Is it still that?

You can only sign up for Web Freedom if you have an internet connection with us otherwise you can sign up to one of our VIP hosting packages and migrate your site across from our free hosting either by doing it yourself or by using the facility in your MyFreeola account that will become available once you VIP hosting subscription is active.
