01/16/2004. Parma midfielder Manuele Blasi has been banned from the game for six months after testing positive for norandrosterone.
However, the player has been suspended as a precaution since October when he was found to have the substance in his system, so he has already served half his time.
The club are set to appeal.

I think the whole Rio thing is shambles.
Yes he should be banned but 8 months is hardly fair as there is no evidence whatsoever that he's taken drugs, merely missed a test.
Players like Stam, Davids, and this new one have got 5/6 months for actually taking drugs, so surely the FA must look at this and reduce his ban to something in the region of 3/4 months?
The whole thing has taken forever to sort out and with the added 'noise' from outside of football I beliee Rio's been made an example of.

Yes, but Rio's thing has been strung out and he has been playing for his club for all this time.
