Once i traded in 3 games: Diddy Kong Racing, Turok and South Park, not the best games i would think to trade in for good money i just did that to get Super Smash brothers and for extra pain i needed to pay an extra £10 to the cost of the trading in, i wouldn't call it trading in but part exchanges are just a complete waste of money really.
I'm happy i could offload South Park and Turok easily but now i think using Diddy Kong racing in that trade was a big mistake of mine, yes i thought Smash brothers was superb, but these kind of things are really bad rip offs.
Whereas in trade ins are perfectly fine and simple and are not rip offs, but this is very scarce around many shops.
Trade ins in shops, even online shops should be used most often then Exchanges that make more money for the branch and less to the customer, my games were put up for a large fee of £20 each game, but that's exactly more than the £40 i got with trading in and playing the extra £10 and lossing out.
EB and Game and many other shops are the culprits of this very daring scheme of theirs that people don't often see in the deals.
I've heard of Computer Exchange branches that allow you to trade in the old games you don't want for new games with no extra money to pay, so what do you people think about this?

It was well worth it. Trading a crap game for a great game and making a profit!
I have to agree that shops to appear to rip you ooff when exchanging games, but it sort of makes sense when you work the maths out.
Say a new copy of Sonic (or whatever) has a RRP of £40. That means some shops will sell it new for £30. So if a shop sells it second hand, the most they can charge is £17.50, so when they buy it off you, you only get £6-£9 as the shop has to make some profit when selling secondhand games.
The best bet would be to try and sell it to a mate, or sell it out of the newspaper or something.
If you would allow me to use the analogy of a child, if you had a child, it was born a very beautiful child, inheriting your good looks and rustic charm, then one foul day a combine harvestor comes ploughing along a quiet country road when at the precise time your beautiful little angel kid is walking across the same road... unfourtunatly the driver of the harvestor had foot and mouth disease, so when he hit your young child he ate the motor of the harvestor thus stopping it from killing your child, but damage was done, the plough of the harvestor had severly mauled your childs face and now your child is an ugly brute, slightly resembling Noel Edmonds, now would your trade this poor child in for another more attractive one? i think not, maybe you would buy it a little hole just outside the house for it to sleep in, and leave its dinner outside every day, but you wouldn't trade the child in now would you, so you see, that is the moral of the story,
If any of you would like to see what this child looks like now, i would be happy to forward you a picture i took of him a few days ago, e-mail me at:

and I'll send it to you instantly.

...he got over £100 credit to spend in the shop that day and bought loads of N64 and GBC stuff!
He didn't have to pay a penny and they even gave him and extra £15 free after that (I can't remember why though)
