What are RPG's exactly about?
Final Fantasy 10 is good. If I like what it is about, i'll think about getting it...

it should be MRPG basicly in most RPG games you have mutiple roles like rick wallar.

A game in which players assume the roles of characters and act out fantastical adventures, the outcomes of which are partially determined by chance, as by the roll of dice

Therefore THUG wouldn't qualify as an RPG because there's no 'fantastical' (unless there's a dragon knocking about on one of the levels) and it's mostly skill I'd have thought.

Action-adventures on the other hand, like Tomb Raider, are skirting the edge of RPGness (there were dinosaurs in the first Tomb Raider).

tony hawks is a role so why isn't it a RPG?

That's a very weird question.

They tend to be about different things. But you'll find that in most games.
It would probably get a little boring if they were all about the same thing.
