My freind sent me a recording he did on his mp3 player of our band but it's got a file name that doesn't seem to play on any players i have.

So. If you kind people could please tell me somewhere where i could get a player which plays .ACT files i would be very greatful.

Yeah. I found an official mp3 player site with a program to convert it to wav... But it was for windows 98 *clenches fist*

When i tried to get the same for XP it just said "These files come with the mp3 player so you don't need to download them"... But i don't have the mp3 player. Gah.

You could try renaming it to mp3/ogg & friends and see if it opens. filext.com has nothing on it.

Could be Atrac3plus or Atrac3, is it a Sony MP3 player?
