Well basically i have never done this before and i want to make sure i do not mess anything up.

I have joined the mighty Freeola for my broadband, £20 a month is a great price, shame my connection is only 1mb : (

Oh well that aside, i sent the MAC code, did all the payment stuff and created a direct debit. What will happen now, will the internet just get changed over, will i be offline for a period of time? Also will my old company just stop charging me now as i have the MAC code and submitted to you guys.

Sorry to be a real idiot about these kind of things but i like to make sure it is all going ahead smoothly.

Oh I can't wait for the day when I can finally say bye to BT and come over to Freeola.

Supposed to be November, but I'm going to ring them again soon to see if they can cut me a deal (that isn't too painful!)

Hello Emmie and welcome to Freeola ADSL :)

Your internet will get changed over to Freeola from your current provider usually after 7 days (this date will be confirmed to you in an e-mail and letter in due course). Providing you are not with an LLU provider (which, from looking at your MAC and ADSL order, you don't seem to be) there should be zero downtime, in fact most customers find there is a period of 'cross-over' whereby both connections will work. You will receive an e-mail from us once it has been confirmed by BT that this order is complete, once you get this simply switch the user/pass combo in your router over to that which we provide.

Your contract with your current supplier will end once your migration to us is complete, still too early to say for definite but we have a very early estimate of next Friday for when your line will go Live with Freeola.

If you do get a problem feel free to post here as we regularly check these forums, however for quicker or immediate support please either call us on 0871 210 9977 or send us a Support Request (read: e-mail) which one of us guys will pick up and answer, usually, within an hour or so.
