Announced today were:
-New PS3 Slim 120GB confirmed at £250 and Old PS3 £250
This is what everyone wanted. A price cut. It might not have been the £199 price that some people wanted, but I think with the large hard drive it's on a par with the Xbox Elite now.
The slim isn't shiny, which is a shame, but it looks ok. It will have the same features as the current PS3 and will probably be sold with a games bundle by the big games retailers.
- Europe PS3 owners finally get movie store with HD downloads to rent or keep.
This is a big one. Microsoft has had movies to rent for ages and Sony have had this in the US for a while too, but come November it finally comes to Europe. The difference between this and the 360 service is that you can buy films as well as renting them.
- PSN cards for Europe (at last) yey!
Since the PS3 came out there have been lobbies to get the PSN cards in Europe. Till now PS3 owners have had to use credit or debit cards to pay for their PSN purchases. But now it's here. Why it took so long is anyone's guess (Sony say it was difficult because of the different demoniations)
- Singstar and other areas for Home
Home is growing all the time. A Batcave home for people who buy the new Batman game, Buzz has already come out and now Singstar and Audi, among others, will be released to improve and expand the Home experience.
- PSP Digital reader, similar to the iReaders for comics and books
To go with the updated PSP store and the new PSPGO! console, Sony have made the PSP Digital reader available with a load of Marvel comics to download for starters. Books and further comics/Graphic Novels will be made available soon.
- 100MB games and apps for PSP store
Trying to emulate the success of Apple's iPod store, Sony have go together with developers to create sub 100MB apps for a cheaper price to download on the move or on PS3.
FFXIV, FIFA10, Forza 3, Split/second previews.
Ubisoft doing dance game for Wii
F1 2009 on WII comes with F1 style wheel
Brutal Legend preview and demo in September
Look forward to more news!
> Natal is the motion thing they working on, is that right??

Yes.
MS has Natal, Sony has their magic stick thingys. Neither of them will show any further development until TGS later on. Hopefully then we'll get some more demos of the systems in action.
Peter Molyneux starts with the announcement of
Fable episodic
DLC episodes for Fable II. The first is FREE! and then you cna choose to buy more seperately or all together.
Fable III.
"I think there's something fundamentally wrong with RPGs like Fable... It's a mechanic that's been there since the eighties. I'm going to take that foundation stone and throw it away."
Basically, it's going to be really different and you get to be King or Queen and rule the land. Sounds like part RPG part Strategy.
Out in 2010
