I have noticed that we are a lot clevered than we think. No. I am not talking about academic ability. I am talking about general thinking.
We can think up a story off the top of our heads, This is the story of Bob etc he is a stock market analystetc, a computer can't, give it the data and it can randomise it but the chances of it making sense and showing exciting results are slim, to none!
I was in Sainsbury the other day and as the lady on the Delicatessen counter was about to call out the number I just turned and looked and this one woman, and didn't stop. I couldn't explain it, I knew I wasn't going through the 13-Year-Old phase again, but then, after about 15 seconds she called out the number.
"56...Anyone number 56?" She yelled!
And sure enough this woman who I looked at for this 15 or so, seconds was that number. I could easily believe that we only use a small percentage of our brains.
I am not a big-time science know-it-all, but think about it, if we are only using 10% of our brain and we can do this, then compared to our creator our computers/creations are nothing...sure they are fast, but what is the rush...the human brain is much more efficient.
So as we all go on about MhZ, Playstations, Gamecubes and X-Boxes in the FOG and so on, take some time to think about your other abilities, even monkey's can push buttons, they don't have the abilities we do...so why are we copying them!?
Don't waste your abilities, if you must do things with computers, learn C or C++!
Playing games is all-well-and-good, but it isn't the only thing in life we are capable of or even enjoy! There is a big wide world out there...and believe me, the draw distance of the real world is a million times better than you'll see in any PS2 game!
The moral of this post is...Well, use your brain, you should be able to figure it out...:D

> The best computer is somthing we can never make, the Human brain. It can think, feel, and do things which a computer can never can do. <
People once said we'd *never* go into space. One thing about humans, my friend, we've a way of trying to surpass limitations. What drives us is that there's always another out there that can be broken.
Also, think about it like this: If you believe in evolution (and I'm not saying that you do), then all it would take is a self-replicating computer program to one day write itself into a competitive level of intellect with us. I think people say 'never' way too often personally.
> Ever watched the Matrix? <
Yes. Obviously someone using their brain, without doing adequate research to begin with. For someone to think that the human body is a good generator of energy, they'd have to know next to nothing about how the human body works. And let me get this straight: They can build an ultra-realistic, virtual world and implant it directly into our minds, but they can't use atomic energy for power? Huh? The humans blocked out the sun's rays in order to remove the computers' energy source? Ugh. I can't tell you how much that movie annoyed me, given its tremendous potential.
As to how powerful our brains are: I agree. They're pretty impressive. Will computers one day reach the same level? I hate to say it, but probably...The concept of creating biologically-based computer systems is a move in this direction and, if they can do it correctly, should provide a wonderful starting point for computers that put the present day ones to shame.
I read something before that said: "God created Man, Man abandons God; Man created Computers, Computers will abandon Man." Not very positive, is it?
Ever watched the Matrix?
