We all know it is a new platform for game development, and as is the case with any new platform it will take time for developers to learn the various techniques needed in order to get the most from the platform (and in case anyone cares, I come from a technial development background myself, and it is the same in every facet of a technical industry when a new development platform is introduced).
Sure some of the games out now for PS2 are not great, but just look how bad things were when the original PS came out..... things will get better, we just have to cast our eye over great titles (MGS2 being a case in point) to see that.
So relax everyone !!
Now for the DVD aspect... to tell the truth I can't see any problems with the quality of the playback (and before anyones says anything.... I do have a high spec widescreen TV and decent stereo hooked into it). The only problem I could see was the odd pause (like for half a second) while watching movies.... but that happens with most DVD players anyway.
Anyway, got to go now... work to be done. (Making sure I've no work left for the weekend 'cause I'm expecting ZOE/MGS2 Demo from special reserve tomorrow.... then again I am in Ireland so it may be monday before I get it.... in which case it is off to the pub for me !).
God, I'm rambling now..... Bye !
