Stuck in ridicule with misfortune as my friend
Distorted siphoned patterns that slowly twist and bend
My mind a shabby hedge-row maze, full of dead-end paths
Cursed be the jealousy, the pain, the fear and laughs
Betterment brings a feeling that swells and burns my eyes
A deterrent to improvement, reason to instigate more lies
As I curl into a ball and prepare to hibernate
I ask myself, nervously, 'Is this my bitter fate?'

Black Glove's Hand of Fate.
Ladies only.
"Come in, my darlin'.
*wriggles fingers*
"Now in order for me to see your future I've got to feel your heartbeat... if you wouldn't mind loosening your top and removing your bra... yes, that's it. Shazam."

Heh, 'odd' indeed. Maybe I'm psychic. Black Glove the Clairvoyant, has a ring to it.

I like poetry, when I can derive a meaning from it.

Like when I write it. Of course, nobody else gives a toss, but I want to see part of myself written down somewhere.

I liked the poem, I'm just not sure about where fate actually comes in. Fate is a final result, but hibernation is something that animals eventually come out of, so I'm not sure if the link between the two really works.
