These days it is not unusual to see a psx game for about £30-£40 or something but if you think about it 2 psx games are as much as a psx itself. Games are costing more and more as the consoles improve, it’s not much of a surprise but it is stupid to have even a 128-bit game above £50. Gaming quality is getting better and better and soon the games could cost £100 in 5 years time, but then how much will the consoles cost in the near future… its hard to say.
Its understandable for big rpgs like Zelda, phantasy star online or the final fantasy series to be big release that cost around £40 but when a little game that they no is not going to be popular they still bring it out the same price as a big sell out game with a hit character such as Mario. But no one is going to pay out a lot of money to play a low budget game (usually a shoddy racing game or shoot’em’up) that has taken about 3 months to make in the slightest hope they might sell 1 copy if they are lucky to some stupid little dork.
1. The developing companies need to start making and approving decent games.
2. If a game that is not up to scratch comes out they need to set it at a lower price altogether and so they might get a few sales from the people weren’t informed its crap.
So when games that you want come out you think 00h ive got to get that you find there is another game that tickles your fancy and you don’t have enough money for both. But then when you get one and then save for the other one another decent game or console has come out and you are stuck as to what you should purchase with your well-earned cash. Personally I would read one of the reviews on ukreviews.com and read Srs cool section on them and they give you pics of the game to help you decide what to buy and you can read your reviews which are gamers views for gamers.
Consoles
At the moment the gaming consoles tend to be around £200 or more. The ps2 is £300 but it will go down £50 when the cube and Xbox come out in all their glory. You can understand how consoles are costing so much with 128-bit systems and the rest of the processing systems inside that make it work but they need to give us a break! If they didn’t bring out the consoles so often then we wouldn’t have use so much on a new console, I know SNIPER will say don’t get one if you don’t want to pay for it but I love playing games so much that I always buy the newest console, they just shouldn’t bring them out every 2 years and they would probably benefit from it they kept a console out a year or two more.
I just want to ask everyone if I should buy battle for naboo or a dreamcast in a month’s time and how long are they making him or her for to buy.
