Have you ever come across a game which looks really good, you buy, you think it's really good, everyone else thinks that it's good, but you never really play it?

I did this with The Sims; the game looks really good, and enjoyed starting to play it, but I could never really get into it. I spent ages downloading utilities and things, but I have never used any of them!! I also seemed to spend more time installing/uninstalling it than playing it!('m not sure why)

I think one of my mates did something similar with Perfect Dark (N64), though he kept it because he thought that he "Ought" to like it.

It's strange really, because I know there are many people who spend a long time on those games, and I also know that other games which look really similar on first impressions have really drawn me in! There must be something about the game which makes different people play it in different ways, and only some sorts of people can like certain games.

......or something......... : Did any of that make any sense? Oh well, if you feel like replying and telling me I'm mad, please resist!

You're mad... Sorry I have no willpower.
Actually I did something similar with the Sims, I played it a lot but I started to think I was being unfair on other games by not playing them so I stopped. The thing is that I always intend to go back but never get round to it.
