Some people are spending over 400 quid because of the sales but aren't we supposedly making ourselves more and more into debt? o_O

They're queueing from before J28 on the M25 to J30 to get to Lakeside. Overall the queue is about 7-10 miles!

its funny really. People are worried about spending to much, so they wait for the sales, where they end up buying stuff they didn't intend to, just because its really cheap. They end up spending waaaaaaaaaay over the amount they were going to spend in the first place.
And I bet the retailers know this.

The sales aren't about saving money! They are about getting more for your money. You get things for less true but it is the shops goal to get you to spend the money you saved as well. In the end you still end up spending lots of money and go into debt but you get a lot more for your money, that is the draw and purpose of the sales.
