Hey.

http://harperhotel.staghost.com/harper800.htm (for resolutions 800x600, so will look crap in anything higher)

Basically, I want to be able to click on "WWE Catalogue" and have the page appear in the layer with the scrollbar. Now, I can't use frames. I can use iFrames I think, but I haven't a clue how to. I have the WWE Catalogue page ready, all I need to work out is how to do the linking. I'd prefer to have a simple click on and the page appears method if possible. I could do it but having the whole page load up, but I don't really wanna do that.

Oh, and the image is a background, so can I use Image Mapping on the background? If so, how?

I don't mind iframes, when they are put to good use. The problem being with frames and iframes is that they aren't indexed by google properly. So I never use frames cos for one thing they don't look good, secondly, people enter through the frame and not the front door (Actually DW - better make the iframe srcs noindex, follow), and the search engines don't like like too much. This applies to frames and to a lesser extent iframes. I think in DWs case this is the only solution I can think of. Scrollable DIVs are fine but I don't think you can target them in a 'a href' statement.

Nice.

I've always had the impression that 99% of the time frames are the scum of the internet, are Iframes part of this 'scum' or are they better?

Like if you enter the site with an Iframe window-page filling the whole screen or something..

Don't make sites for specific resolutions, 800x600 isn't very popular anymore, and if you're gonna design it for a resolution, at least make it look OK on higher ones.
