I've been playing through the Collector's Edition recently and in the earlier Zelda games (1 and 2) it's amazing how many little things have been taken from them and put into more recent titles, like OOT.

For example, the second boss is Dodongo. In OoT there's a legend about someone slaying him (in this case, Link again) and he even has the same weaknesses.

But what's even better is in Zelda II; looking at the names of villages, they all seem to names of the Sages from OoT. Saria, Ruto... it's a nice littl;e touch.

Am I sad for noticing this? Yes, probably, but it still rocks :-D

Oh, and where the hell's the fourth dungeon on the firsat Zelda, I've found the 6th... but no 4th. Also, what do the blue armour and fence thingy do?

Zelda rules.

As you can probably tell, I also love Zelda too. :)

I personally reckon that if done correctly, a Zelda movie by Nintendo is capable of beating the LOTR trilogy - it has all the elements to be able to do so. But it needs to be done right. What do you reckon?

And does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get hold of a Collector's Edition Disc? I've already got a Cube so I can't buy another with MK DD, I've not got enough stars to get them from the Nintendo website, and I can't find one for sale in any shops. Any ideas? I'd be very grateful if someone could come up with something..

Much obliged

I don't think a Zelda movie could beat LotR, but at the moment I don't think any film ever could. But if someone like Peter Jackson got hold of a Zelda film (which will never happen), and the plots follow some of the games (especially Majora's Mask, for the superb atmosphere), it could well be a classic.

But it won't.

All `Zelda´ games are like that. It's one of the things, I find, that makes the whole-story that extra bit more `special´. You can play a newer games, not have a clue about who that reference was made to, and then go back and play an older one to find-out. Or, the other way around... Meet some random-bloke in an earlier adventure, only to find he's a big-part of the new game.

And, you'd think it might make things easier putting the whole series in-order, on a timeline... But, apparently, it doesn't! :)

I still haven't really given these games a chance, though... :(

However, I did recieve `Balloon Fight´ from Jingle on Animal Crossing - and that is one NES game I really like! I'd be interested to see a next-gen. update of it, too....

A Zelda movie would be great.

Oh, and Rickoss? LotR is not the best movie ever. Yes, it's great, but there's so much better out there. The Godfather Trilogy for one.
