Nintendo GameCube. Everyone here on these boards wants it, so I thought I'd recap on what it is that is going to be so great about it.

The Nintendo GameCube will undoubtedly be a great system and play host to many great games over its life-span just like the Nintendo 64 did.

This time around Nintendo really have assembled/surrounded themselves with a 'dream-team' of sorts. They seem to have the majority of genres covered with Nintendo and 2nd parties all contributing quality games to the new system.

I have said it before and I will say it again - Nintendo are in the best position out of all three big-name competitors.

To some the Nintendo 64 may have been a dissappointment (personnaly, I love mine and still play it non-stop) but Nintendo have ensured they give the 64 an appropriate send-off it deserves.

The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
Banjo-Tooie
Paper Mario
Star Wars: Battle for Naboo
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine
WWF: No Mercy
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
Conkers Bad Fur Day

With such titles as this I feel Nintendo are serious about rectifying the problems that were encountered on the Nintendo64. The Nintendo64 may have been a waste-land when it came to truckloads of games spread out over truckloads of genres but it finished, I feel, on a high.

The GameCube has been built with developers in the forefront of Nintendo's mind. They have built a powerful system that has ease of development and some of the greatest franchises in video-gaming history. Expect nothing less than brillance come e3 as all the industry secrets are unvieled. We will finally see the secret games that Nintendo have been quietly working away at and the fantastic and innovative titles that 2nd and 3rd parties have produced.

Nintendo, I feel are entering into what will easily be their strongest year yet. The power and draw of the GameCube is undeniable as is evident amongst hard-core gamers. Most ps2 owners have nothing but praise from what they have seen and heard so far regarding the GameCube.

Nintendo have not taken a step wrong thus far concerning this next-gen race. They held out on showing games or even mentioning GameCube at last years e3 even though the console was clearly at the forefront of their future-plans. Spaceworld can not be called anything but a success. The people in attendance cheered and yelled out loud at the short reel of GameCube footage, this was of extreme importance. It showed the power behind Nintendo's next-gen console and proved they were gonna be a big-time player this time around.

Developers speaking of the GameCube have nothing but good things to say about Nintendo and their approach this time around. They have put a genuine effort to try and attract back developers that they alienated throughout the 64 bit era.

GameCube will be gaming at its finest. Coupled with amazing graphics and unmatched gameplay, GameCube can only succeed.
