Now, I don't believe these people who write them can preidct the future or anything like that, and I think Uri Geller's spoon-bending is some David Blane-like `Hoax´ (...somehow). But I almost-always find that I read my Horoscope on a daily-basis and find some kind of "connection" between this and my Reality.
Anyone else ever noticed that? Anyone else even bothered to READ their Horoscope before??
And even if it's not going to `come-true´ or significantly `change´ anything, it makes me feel good about what may lie-ahead and I feel it, kind of, makes me a `Happier´ person.
But it really does amaze me when things just seem to... "Come-true".
Take this week, for example. On Monday (in `The Mirror´, incase you're interested), I read about how I must be prepared to "take 2-steps forward". Now, I can relate this with something which happened on the same day; how I finally bit-the-bullet and found the confidence within myself to talk to this girl I "admire" but have been too "weak" to do it long-before. And, to me, just talking to her and asking her about things was a big-step for me in my intentions of making something between us - "2 forward", you might even say.
But it also said I must be prepared to take the "inevitavle one-step back", also. And that, I believe, has also happened within the same given situation. I asked for her help in order to find a lift to last night's Christmas Party with work, but she later told me she already had plans to go with her mate - my "one-step back". (...Even though she still did, at least, help me find transport through another person, anyhow.)
And I think even you, just by reading this, can see how each relates to the other, and I find this very strange... And I cannot say it is the first-time this has happened, either. But, it does, usually revolve solely around my so-called "Love-life".
But what DO you think about Horoscopes?
Have you - or DO you - ever experienced "connections" betweem short segments of text and your own life, like this?
They do, however, seem to be `positive´, almost all the time. So, perhaps they are just cleverly-written by smart-thinking minds of those who are knowledgable in the manipulation and understanding of the human mind?
"The average Aries person is `this´. At this time of the year, this time of week, he/she is likely to be experiencing `something like this´..." ?
Or do these people REALLY have "Powers" that enable them to, somehow, predict a kind of future for us all???
Who really knows?! But I'm interested to know what you think - especially if you have read them and been able to relate it well to the on-goings of your own life.
Like (continuing-on from my original post), how the horroscope for this particular "special-someone" read how, on the same-day as I asked her, she would be "getting a chance", and that she should "take your chances" and not miss-out. ...Unfortunately, though, she did decide to go with her female-friend, instead. :(
I don't truly believe in them or anything - that would be CRAZY!
I just find them very interesting to read. I enjoy reading them. I feel it, somehow, "helps" me to look-forward to things in the near-future, or something...
There was this girl at my old school who always followed her horoscopes, and thought everyone else would appriciate it if she read theirs out as well.
She totally belived in it - so I bet her to read the horoscope for a different sign than hers. Surprise, surprise, it seems she must have been born twice in different signs.
The same goes for tarot cards and stuff. Say something like "You've got a lot of un-used creative potential" to everyone, and they'll all go "Wooo! Yeah, I have," because everyone thinks they do.
At the end, in The Sun newspaper, I don't believe that. When it says.. "L will bring you luck..". That's a load of rubbish.
I read them at the end of the day and sometimes you think, "Wow! That's true". But it's for all people with the same starsign as you, so you don't know!
But I don't like the look of that big oily demon behind you. And what's it going to do with that fiery pitchfork...?
*closes eyes*
I can't watch.

look out your window - I'm the one waving from the pit of maggots!
