For me it would have to be Star Wars Kinights of the Old Reoublic
I dont think soul calibur, for me, has long term appeal. I also think it is a lacklustre beat-em up. It just doesnt excite. I'm not sure why but it just doesn't.
Nah, SC2 certainly does excite. It's a fantastic beat 'em up. The best in fact. But just like all beat 'em ups, it just doesn't/can't last long.
The games that stood out for me in 2003 would have to be:
Splinter Cell - it's everything MGS wanted to be, and more.
KoToR - I gave up on this because I got bored quick, but it was a fantastic game. Played nothing else like it.
Prince of Persia - Surprise hit which blew me away with it's quality and style
Rainbow Six 3 - B-e-a-utiful. And I haven't played the Live portion yet!
There are more, but I can't think - too early y'see!
