A lot of people think that because the GameCube is coming out later than the PS2 it will not be sucessful. However, by being late, Nintendo may be able to learn from other consoles mistakes and make sure that it doesn't happen on the GameCube.
In Japan, the PS2 was quite sucessful, but the Japanese do not look as if they are going to be huge fans of Microsoft's new Xbox. The only thing that they want is the GameCube and they are going to get it in July of this year. The Americans are going to get it in October, but us Europeans will not get it until spring 2002!!! (Stay Calm)
Also, another thing about the GameCube being later than the PS2 is that GameCube will have time to get game developers to make games for the GameCube (there are 100 developers already).
The thing that probably made the N64 less sucessful than the PSX was that the N64 was released later than the PSX and most people bought a PSX and once the N64 came out, did not want to buy another console. Nintendo will not make this mistake again. They will once again be masters of the console world!!!
