Nintendo.co.uk is doing a "best of 2003" thing, so I thought I'd ask for other less biased favourite games of the year, rather than the lists of Nintendo titles and Rayman 3, which they've obviously been paid to promote. Take you pick:

F-Zero
Soulcalibur II
Burnout 2
Billy Hatcher
Resi Zero
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Phantasy Star Online
Viewtiful Joe
Zelda: Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Splinter Cell
Rogue Squadron III
Mario Party 5
-
Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire
Wario Ware
Super Monkey Ball Jr
Sonic Advance 2
Golden Sun 2
Advance Wars 2
Super Mario Advance 4

So.. which did you enjoy best?

TimeSplitters is a completely different game to MKDD, and it's really hard to compare them. Unlike MP I agree that it's one hell of a multi-player game, but I'd still say the Kart is better, simply because of it's universal appeal and simple but incredibly addictive gameplay.

Nah, the Double Dash multiplayer is kind of boring really. The co-op mode's good fun, but that's about it.

It all pales in comparison to the likes of TimeSplitters 2 and Mario Party.

Phantasy Star Online.

If your going to go online in a small way make sure the game everyone'll be getting will last a long time and have a nice amount of replay value.

Does it compete with Xbox Live? Not really but if you only own a cube then it's good fun.

and the cube version is easily the best version by a very very long distance indeed.

I wasn't too keen on Metroid Prime to be honest.

RS is good, granted it isn't the huge leap people may have wanted, and the last few levels will have you wanting to throw your Cube halfway across the room, it's still great.

Anyway, I don't think they seem to take into account how good the game is. Billy Hatcher's there, which is complete heap of sh*te.
