I went to see this last night.
There are many words that could describe it.

Good and great aren't included in that list.
They get nowhere near within touching distance as to how phenomonal this film.

I second that.

Utterly flawless? I haven't even seen the film and I know its flawed as Saruman is not even mentioned in this film, according to the media.

You can bet the extended version will fill the gaps though, which will be just aceeee.

He is mentioned briefly, just not seen.

Hrmm...flawless perhaps in terms of the story etc...

But some of the CGI was awful.

So, what the hell happens at the end? Because in the book Wormtonuge killed him and was in turn killed by the Hobbits, so what happened in the film?

From what I've heard the whole part about the Shire being controlled by Saruman is not in the film, it skips straight to Samwise making babies and Frodo sailing away with the elves.
