One problem.
We only have one copy of the game, and you need two copies to play 2 player over LAN.
Any solutions to this problem without running to Ealing Broadway to buy another copy of this game?

I don't see any problem with copying, or 'backing up' the game if you've legitimately purchased it. of course, it may not work, but it's worth a try.
