Lightwave is good if you can get a copy and have the patience to mission at it.

Maya is top level stuff. 256mb of fast TwinMOS (excellent make) RAM costs £25 ish these days.

There are other free alternatives - try gmax

http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/, which is a subset of 3D Studio Max.

Damm that, i got 256MB RAM, it requires 500 - 600 MB RAM (somthing round between there, can't remember) is there a way i can FORCE IT to run on what i have!!!! It's starting to annoy me now!!!

See, if he had posted this in Chat, he would have got a (virtual) beating. And probably not get his problem solved. But here, thankfully he's let doen more gently.

Yep, buy more RAM. The difference is that RAM is more expensive per MB, and are basically chips on a board, whereas your hard drive is a block of metal, plastic and maybe a chip underneath.

Oh dear. You seem to have negleted that it is system memory you need more of, not your hard drive. I would advise either Crucial or Cosair RAM.

It's talking about available system RAM not hard drive space.
