I just found out my uni now have 50 extra funding grant things for research PhDs, starting Sept '04.

You need a 2:1 degree (which I (just) got), and I'm pretty sure there doesn't need to be a masters. The money is enough to live on, and pays out for up to 3 years.

So Dr Duck could be a real Dr (though not a real duck - though if you saw that tiger man on tv, you'll know I'm close to my dream too :^p).

Problem:

I need something to study.

I have a law degree, and could do the PhD in law or politics.

But I need some help thinking of stuff to do it about.
Any suggestions?

Also, you can do it in sports science. I don't have an academic background here, but I do have an idea - mental visualisation can be used to recreate and 'practice' real life situations (it's used in sport skills training). Also, studies have shown 'imagining' exercises can give greater improvements than actually doing them.

Without going into too much detail, I think the two are linked, and I have some reasonable scientific evidence to support everything.
But I'm not sure I'd have the resources to take this where I'd want to, and also don't know if it'd make much of a PhD.

Thoughts?
