I have a old computer system which i have put into my brothers room (p2 233mhz, 160 mb ram, 4gb hdd, win98SE). I am now using my new system (p4 2.66ghz, 512 ramm, 80gb hdd, xp home). I have been lookin at the USB bluetooth connectors. I was wondering if its possible to buy two of these connectors, plug them in to network the computers together to share the printer and the 512 broadband connection? can anyone help?

I'd go with either wireless kit or a wired solution, wired is far quicker, wireless is err....wireless.

Bluetooth I'd stay away from, I had enough trouble at the weekend trying to get my phone to talk to my handsfree kit in the car and that was only 2 feet away, very unreliable.

I don't think Bluetooth can be used for that kind of networking. You can get cheap wireless kits these days anyway.

im not sure what the walls are, but they are thin and my brothers room is only like 3m away. i have thought about using a gaming network kit, but that would mean messin around with tryin to install the wire neatly (which would go throu my room -> loft -> bros room). Bluetooth seemed a easy and quick solution to a wireless network.

Welcome to the forum :)

Personally I'd say no, but maybe ok depending on what your walls are like? Are they brick or plasterboard?
