Mainly for Snuggly, cos I was right about you enjoying Near Dark.
Next Friday...channel 5 I think (go check it out yourself)

Miami Blues.
Alec Baldwin, Fred Ward, Charles Durning, Jennifer Jason Leigh and some others.
It's a funny, violent story about...well...lots of stuff.
Reasons to watch Miami Blues:

"Spirit in The Sky" plays over the opening credits.
Alec Baldwin reciting Haiku as he robs an apartment next door.
A Hari-Krishna being killed in the 1st 5 mins.
The teacher from The Breakfast Club ("two weeks...I own you") as a bent cop.
Fred Ward getting beaten up and having his badge, gun and false teeth stolen by Alec Baldwin.
The Pawn-Store finger lopping scene
A gun toting Mexican hiding in a store-room.

Trust me, if you haven't seen this movie it's cult-cool excellence.

Yup.
He was also Remo Wiliams (I was so happy when I found that on DVD)
It's a top film.

Remo! Yeah, I've seen this. I always thought it was called "Repo" and he was a disgruntled Reposession man. One of the earliest films I can remember copying and trying to dodge bullets and walk on poles in the dark...

Remo was the 1st movie I ever bought.
I still think that's one of the best action films ever.
"You move like a pregnant yak with two club feet!"

And Remo using villain's diamond tooth to cut through the plate-glass window before thumbing his eyes out and running away.

I think Neo wants to be Remo.

Ah, takes me back to 28 Days Later. Good thumb to eye action in that too.
