Bah. I'm beginning to hate these debate programs. It's the same when they get 2 or more speakers on a news show.
A bunch of sleazy monkeys try to shout each other down, so you can't actually tell what either are saying.
They never answer the questions put to them, or intentionally miss the point, then go off on some stupid lame tangent. For ages.
They lie through their teeth surprisingly often and, when confronted on it, they reel off pathetic distraction-based rebuttals (see above).
If the chair person could cut their microphones to force them to shut up, maybe that'd help things along.
Until that happens I'll continue to get pished off listening to gurners like Hodge shout down anyone who trys to make a decent point.
