I hate my dad's computer.
Ok. It opens properly and stuff, the power is being supplied properly.
However, under My Computer, it isn't there, and autoplay doesn't function (obviously).
What the hells going on with this now?
I decided to follow the IDE cable connected to the CD-RW - to see what it was connected to.
The answer?
Nothing.
Bloody hell.
> Is this the only Drive attached?
There's this, and the Floppy drive. But it's the only CD drive.
> Is it showing up in Device Manager?
Nope.
> Does it show in the boot sequence (if any)?
There's no sign of it, that I can see. Where should I look particularly as it boots up?
> Has the BIOS detected it?
How do I check this?
Look around the setup menu as it boots up (Del key at the beginning)?
Is it showing up in Device Manager?
Does it show in the boot sequence (if any)?
Has the BIOS detected it?
This is kinda priority now, so we can try MoH, see if it works.
Ta.
I've been wanting to do that for a long time.
The IDE cable is in, the power cable is in, everything's plugged in.
Bah, stupid thing.
Throw the computer out the window.
