Where? Any swoop i try to tame is an "Invalid target"

[edit] Asses. And now I've accidentally destroyed the taming rod due to irritated clicking. What does the hunter trainer say "soon you will be ready" Required item? Taming rod.

Yup. I've just thought that the first one was a plain strider. I captured the stalker wolf while the plainstrider was tamed. It turned on me while I was taming the wolf. Perhaps I should tame the wolf first, THEN try for a swoop.

[edit] Nope, while looking for a stalker, I found a Swoop. Not talloned, not whily, just a plain swoop. Neer seen a plain one before... Weird... Trained, done quest. Cheers.

It's Taming The Beast, not taming the swoop.
If you break the rod, go back to the NPC that gave you the quest, abandon and restart.
