Always nice to blood the youngster's in competitions like this and im not too bothered about the result because we never really take it seriously..
Ah well, Liverpool's champions league trophy is gone,s o bye bye Socuser's ;)
Who knows maybe Arsenal's youngsters will win it this time after their result yeserday whilst Chelsea managed to scrape a 0-1 win away to Reading with their full team.
What ever happens, we can now concentrate on the main thing.... beating Man City in the 2 weeks time and looking for a decent striker! (oh and the big boy's trophies of course! :)
First we'll have to see off Chelsea's super reserve team. Also think West Brom could be a threat.

...But what does it matter, when it's only the League Cup?!
(Looks like it could go in ``Chelski's´´ favour, anyway...)
Why did he start with Bellion as the main-striker? Why not Diego Forlan?? You could say he might need a rest, but Daniel Nardiello should've been given the chance - even if as a half-time substitute.
And why Kleberson for that supporting-role? I know Phil Neville's done well in midfield, and that John O'Shea's become a decent full-back; but it obviously isn't going to work putting a "defensive-midfielder" in attack - even if he is `Brazillian´!
He should've been in the centre-of-midfield; alongside Nicky Butt.
If Bellion was going to be the leader instead of the supporter, then I would've put Ronaldo in behind him, instead of out-wide.
And I still don't see why Darren Fletcher should be played centrally... His best position is on the right - everyone knows that!
It wasn't a game for mistakes. The Carling Cup is still a competition, and it was a shame to see us knocked-out by WEST BROM - just because United do not care about the competition, this season!
By all means, I like to see Chris Eagles and co. play in the first-team, whenever they've got the chance... But, for a team to 'work', you can't expect to play around with BOTH Youth and the Reserves to get a result.
WBA got a bit of luck with both goals I felt, Haas just stuck his boot out and got lucky, while the second goal was the sort of header you always want to do, but can never pull off.
WBA had the better keeper on the day, and some more clinical finishing could have seen Utd win 3-2. I was impressed with some of the youngsters, especialy at the back, where they seem almost as comfortable passing it around in defence as the first team often are. It was also the first game I've seen Fletcher play well in.
However, I was disappointed to see the WBA players trying to play the "we're bigger than you" hand, and there seemed to be a lot of pushing going on in some areas. And that nobhead defender that pushed a hand into the back of Ronaldo's neck as he went up to head at goal should have been shot.
Other than that, it's a shame that most of those players won't see any first team football now until next year.
Kleberson seems to be fitted with a "shoot on sight" chip.
Some of his shots were actually quite good though. Can see him scoring quite a few long range goals this season if he gets a run in the side.
Don't think many teams take it that serious at all, too many bigger competitions to have a team of fully fit players for.
