How wrong I was.
Since I own the cd of "Everything Everything" I didn't think I would enjoy the DVD when I unwrapped it. Within 5 minutes I had changed my mind and found myself utterly transfixed by what was on screen.
A lot of personal favoruites are in attendance, "Pearls Girl", "Jumbo", "King of Snake", "Rez/Cowgirl". All basically the same versions as you know and love, but actually seeing Karl Hyde bouncing around like a lunatic, and the utterly masterful mixing / production from Darren Emerson and Rich Smith, is like a punch to the gut.
One part of the DVD was recorded when I went to see them live about five years ago, and my god, it brought back good, good memories.
Its obviously not as good as going to see them band in the flesh, but its certainly one of the best live DVD / videos I've ever seen.
If you have even a passing interest in dance music, buy, and watch live dance music performed to perfection.
