My sooper dooper tablet PC has just - and it kicks ass!!! I have to install a hell of a lot of software before I get get some proper work done, but at the mo I'm getting used to it - the new button layout, double tapping with the pen and using that darn trackpad.

And it looks like I shouldn't have gone with the watercooled PC in the first place - this tablet is completely silent, which suits my needs.

Aarg, harder to type than with the old keyboard though.

Heh, doodling in Journal is cool...

I can see what your school is doing, and it's not a bad offer. And are they for the full versions?

At least it does in my school...

for £47 you get a sort of subscription thing where you get all updates for all software you own..

e.g. you have Office XP at the beggning of the year.. Office 2003 is released.. you Get Office 2003 for 'free', as with all other Microsoft software.

£47 buys you a one year Student thing-ma-bob with Microsoft which will get you all the latest updates for all their programs for free.

Laptops = not as good as normal PCs, but more expensive.
Someone explain their value to me, apart from taking it places.

I considered the Acer, but heard reports that the Fujitsu's keyboard was better. Also, it's much faster.

I reccommend OneNote as well - for £35 it's a snap, especailly considering it's normal price of £150.

That's where the Acer one goes one up :-P

There's an eraser on the back of the Acer's stylus.

What's the cheapy student pricwe of the new Office?

Shame the stylus has no eraser on the top... that would have been ace.
