"When your partner dies, you take his gun"
"When you die, someone takes your gun"
:-D
I know it's true, but it's still hilarious.
*That was Stalingrad...
Rachel Weisz accent was funny.
'Oh hello!
Would you like some tea?'
Hehe.
Not brilliant but quite good. It didn't give the impression of total horror what was Stalingrad though, not to me anyway. And Jude Law sucked as a sniper.
> And I hate Jude Law with a passion.
Thank God, we agree on something.
And the sniping.
But they stuck some dreary love story into it and made it generic Hollywood.
"Let's have a kid, right, but he gets killed! Cos that happens in war!"
"Cool, gritty!"
"And a love story!"
"Cool, romantic and gritty!"
"And Ed Harris, but let's waste his potential by only having him talk to a kid!"
"Awesome!"
Still, the intro is where the inspiration for the Russian section of "Call of Duty" came from, so that was cool.
And Ron Perlman, with an English cockney "Gor Blimey" accent, except he's supposed to be Russian.
Hmmmmm....
Could have been a lot, lot better.
And I hate Jude Law with a passion.
And Bob Hoskins as Kruschev? The Long Good Friday was the last thing that guy did of note, and he sucks as a Russian.
Almost as much as Shean Connery's Rushhen attempsh in Red October.
I've seen clips, and it looks fairly good.
We had the DVD of it a while ago, but I ended up not watching it.
I'll be watching it tonight though.
