Jimi Hendrix, by far the best guitarist who ever lived.
I've been listening to a lot of Hendrix lately.
Although he's supposedly been outdone "technically", none of those "superior" guitarists, despite their lightening fast finger work, could have written Dylan quality songs and played with such imagination and emotion in their songs.
All this while simultaneously being the most exciting frontman in rock music.
