Hi peps, it's me again.
Now I have broadband and you all know that you have to connect via a micro filter with DSL side for the internet connection....well...
I have a server at work which I used to be able to connect to via 56k dial in. I now want to be able to do that again but obviously I can't dial up with broadband because it is always connected to the internet with the number 000000 because it goes directly to the ISP.
But I was wondering, could I connect a modem to the Phone side of the micro filter and dial up that way...would that work...so that it wud act as a normal phone line...or can that not happen?
Can someone shed some light on this?

I did this on XP quite happily and also now on OS X.

You should be able to do that but you may need to manually initiate the dialup connection in Windows.
