Still, I can always rent it - great film.
it is never made clear how far apart these events are, theoretically they could be very close together.
it would tie up the series nicely. although there's a slight paradox - if John knows that sending back Reese and the T800 WON'T change anything, then will he still send them back. so the first two films shouldn't then, in theory, exist.
I love paradoxes.

But I thought Arnie was designed to be an infiltration unit, it'd be a pretty crap design flaw if all terminators looked the same. Besides, Arnie is getting on a bit now and with his new polical career, if he does appear in Terminator 4 I think it would be more of a cameo.

at the beginning? i thought the whole film had a black comedy quality to it - like when arnie is on the crane and he hits the fire engine
Damn, I can't (well, I can, but it t'would be BS)
If they can't get him back, they shouldn't make one
"Talk to der hand"
besides, in the future there are thousands of arnies on the battlefield.

Too late, it's already in the works. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how it will turn out since it will have to be based in the post apocolyptic future, and seeing those big battles you always get glimpses of in the first 3 terminators should be good. I just hope the drop Arnie, he's become a dead weight now.
that crane scene was one of the best scenes I've seen since the original matrix.
