Some of you may know this already, but I have two cats. The other day we found a vet's card for the older one that said she was 12. That was a bit of a shock because we thought she was only about 10, and that the other one was a few years younger.

Anyway, we found another vet's card today for the younger one from 1990, when she was 6 months old - which makes the younger one at least 14! Which make the older one 16! Christ, that was a shock. You really wouldn't think it to look at them, but they're elderly cats! I had no idea they were so old. One of them is beginning to show it, but the other one runs, jumps and plays like a kitten (I think she's a bit gone in the head).

Wow - 14 and 16. The last time one of them went to the vets, before the recent trip which brough about the cards, was 12 years ago!

Heard two cats having a real good scrap last night. It went on for ages. They sound so strange when they go nuts.

My cat's 16. She's fat, leaves hair EVERYWHERE, and is usually pretty grumpy. When she's alone with you, though, she's as soft as a wet nosed dweeb, playful as a kitten and purrs like a tractor.

What do you mean "another" use?
What's it's primary use?

I hope you've explained puberty to these cats.

My cat has become a right grump in its old age. It used to meeow with an innocent twinkle in its eye, now cackles in a narky manner like a disgruntled magpie. The term "grimalkin" definately sums up an old female cat.

It wasn't in the litter tray or anything - it was on the stairs where my Edwardian era parents leave it.

I'll probably just get another cat.

One of them went toilet on the Daily Mail the other day - what a critic!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
